Darren Douglas Danahy Lazy Dada's music drifts into your consciousness like dreamt waves of a calming magic sea.
Juicy, crunchy guitar tones, vocoderized voices, blipping synths... all come together to make these magical sounding songs, the melodies of which will be in my head for days to come.
Favorite track: The Trooper.

This is a throwaway song. Don't matter what I say. Just gonna throw it away, when I upload later today up to it's final resting place, in a cloud that doesn't make it rain. Don't get me wrong, this ain't my first throwaway song. ‎ This is a throwaway song. You'll hit skip before it plays, or just stow it away until these words are passed passé. "One man's trash", etc, insert any suitable cliché... "It is what it is", "at the end of the day", just throw it away. This is a throwaway song. Don't matter what I play. Just gonna throw it away. Buried 'neath mp3's and wav's in a gleaming hi-def trashcan with digital display. But don't get me wrong, this ain't my last throwaway song.

The Trooper 03:31
You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too. You'll fire your musket, but I'll run you through. While you're waiting for the next attack. You’d better stand, there's no turning back. The bugle sounds, the charge begins. But on this battlefield, no one wins. An acrid smell of smoke and horse's breath. As I plunge into certain death. My horse sweats with fear, we break to run. Towards the roar of their smoking guns. And as we race towards the human wall. I hear the screams as my comrades fall. We hurdle bodies scattered on the ground. Then they fire another round. We get so near, yet so far away. And we won't live to fight another day. We get so close, near enough to fight. When that bastard gets me in his sights. He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow. A burst of rounds takes my horse below. And now I lay, staring at the sky. My body’s numb and my throat is dry I am forgotten and alone. Without a tear, I draw my parting groan.

Look for a while at the China Cat Sunflower Proud walking jingle in the midnight sun Copper-dome bodhi drip, a silver kimono Like a crazy quilt star gown, through a dream night wind Crazy Cat peeking through a lace bandanna Like a One-Eyed Cheshire, like a Diamond-Eye Jack A leaf of all colors plays a golden-string fiddle To a double-E waterfall, over my back China Cat, China Cat China Cat, China Cat… Comic book colors on a violin river Cryin' Leonardo words, from out a silk trombone I rang a silent bell, beneath a shower of pearls In the Eagle-Winged Palace of the Queen Chinee
